I’m thankful for many MANY things. I won’t bore you with that list (right now anyway), but I did want to highlight a few things and people for which I’m thankful.
Over the weekend I had an amazing opportunity to shoot with Jennifer Klein from Photos in a Flash event photography. She’s a rockstar with the camera and was a great coach throughout the Forman Foundation celebrity golf tournament and benefit dinner. It was my first big event & golf tournament and she was such a gem to work with. I met a lot of really great people with really big hearts and am so very thankful I was not only able to work with her, but also be a part of such a great cause/event. The stories that people share facing/fighting/winning and losing to cancer were so wild, it make me thankful for my health- and yours.
So that was the weekend…it was beyond words- cool. Then this week I went straight into editing, working on the website (still under construction), and it’s been such a whirlwind of a week I cannot even remember what happened Monday through Wednesday. Today’s Thursday, what!?! The only thing to slow me down was a package I was not expecting. I was expecting a few camera accessory shipments, but this box size didn’t match up… So , I open it up only to find a 70-200 2.8 lens box, but it’s TINY. It happens to be a lens I want SOOO badly, but at over a G ($1k+) that’s not happening anytime soon. Again, it was TINY and this lens is usually massive. So then I’m thinking… okay WHAT is this thing and why did I order it. Did I order it? Did I accidentally order it? Check the packing slip- it’s a purchase from one of my very best friends Nikki in New Orleans!!!! A SURPRISE GIFT!!! I starting jumping like a mexican jumping bean in happiness. It may have not been the lens, but it was a cup/mug diddy doo that will inspire me everyday to impress her with my photog skills because who knows- maybe she’ll buy me that lens FOR REAL one day! (in my dreams!)
Ahhhhh I’ve never been more excited about a mug. I’m incredibly thankful for my mug, but even more thankful that I have such caring and thoughtful and amazing friends. I love you bestie!
Lastly, I’m thankful for dog parks. They allow my four legged crazies to get some excerise, make new smush face friends, and practice my photog skills, baby! That’s all for tonight… now back to working on the site!
